4) Start the measurement and let it run during test.
Immunity as Sound Level Meter
The highest Susceptibility (Susceptibility = 1/Immunity) to radio frequency fields, is achieved when
Hand-held Analyzer Type 2250 is set up as follows:
1) Connect Microphone Type 4189 and Microphone Preamplifier ZC0032 to the top socket of Type 2250.
2) Select the Sound Level Meter Project Template.
3) On the Setup display:
•Set Frequency Weightings to AZ for Broadband (Excl. Peak)
•Set Measurement Mode to Manual
•Set Input to Top Socket
•Set Micr. Used to the mounted microphone
4) Calibrate the microphone.
5) Start the measurement and let it run during test.
6) Observe L
AF
during test.
Testing Immunity According to IEC 61260
Note: This test requires Frequency Analysis Software BZ 7223.
The highest Susceptibility (Susceptibility = 1/Immunity) to radio frequency fields for the filter sets is
achieved when Hand-held Analyzer Type 2250 is set up as follows:
1) Short-circuit the rear ‘Input’ socket of Type 2250.
2) Select the Frequency Analyzer Project Template.
3) On the Setup display:
•Set Frequency Weightings to CZ for Broadband (Excl. Peak) and to Z for Spectrum
•Set Measurement Mode to Manual
•Set Bandwidth to 1/3-octave
•Set Input to Rear Socket
•Set Micr. Used to No Transducer
4) Calibrate the input by typing in the Nominal Sensitivity of the microphone: 0.05.
5) Start the measurement and let it run during test.
6) Observe L
ZF
at 1kHz during test.
Only 1/3-octave-band filters need to be tested. This is because the filters are digital, and no disturbance
at the filter input will show up to be greater at 1/1-octave bandwidth than at 1/3-octave bandwidth.
